About us

Honest prop firm reviews, by traders.

RateThePropFirm indexes proof-based reviews of proprietary trading firms, written by traders who paid for the challenge.

What this site is

RateThePropFirm is a specialist review site for proprietary trading firms. One brand per page. One TrustScore per brand. One rule for every review: you traded with the firm.

We cover evaluation terms, payout speed, scaling plans, consistency rules, and drawdown behavior. If the firm sells challenges, we track what traders actually experience after the deposit clears.

What you will find here

Each firm page shows a TrustScore, the current evaluation and funded-account terms, and reviews from traders who passed, failed, or are mid-challenge. We tag reviews with the account size, phase, and whether a payout was received.

  • TrustScore built from evaluation outcomes, payout speed, and open disputes
  • Reviews from traders with proof of funded account where provided
  • Side-by-side comparisons: profit split, max drawdown, consistency rule, scaling plan
  • A dispute window so firms can respond before a review is public

Who runs it

A small team of traders and engineers. We built this because the existing options were affiliate blogs stacked for whoever paid the most.

We are independent. No paid rankings and no promoted-firm slots. No firm can buy a higher TrustScore, remove a negative review, or promote itself above another brand. Advertising, when it exists, is labeled and never affects rankings.

How we handle reviews

Every review goes through automated checks and a human pass. We ask for proof of funded account for payout claims, and we lock the review to the trader's handle so it cannot be swapped later.

Firms can dispute a review in-thread. If a trader goes silent during a dispute, the review is marked unverified. We do not delete negative reviews because a firm asked us to.

What we are not

We are not a prop firm. We do not sell challenges, run copy-trade services, or take a cut of your payout. We do not rate strategies, signal groups, or EAs. If a firm offers us equity or a referral deal to list them higher, the answer is no.
